Meet Our Team
Dr. David Brown
Dr. Brown truly believes that quality dentistry is the result of sincere intention, diligent effort, purposeful direction, and wise decisions.
With over 25 years of experience, his attention to each procedure continues to reflect his enthusiasm and commitment to his work. An avid believer in the importance of continuing education, Dr. Brown is thoroughly versed in all phases of dentistry, including implants and cosmetic "smile lifts".
Dr. Brown and his wife enjoy traveling to new places to experience the diversity of cultures and nature. Other interests include spending quality time with his young grandson, antique workmanship, and teaching aikido as a 3rd dan black belt instructor.
Theresa, Dental Hygienist and Hygiene Team Leader
Theresa has been a Dental Hygienist for over 12 years and she stays on the cutting edge
of her profession by attending a variety of continuing education courses. Theresa finds Dental Hygiene
to be both a satisfying and a rewarding profession... it is why she loves what she does.
Outside of work, she enjoys travel, hiking, fitness and spending time with family and friends.
Ellen, Certified Level II Dental Assistant
Ellen has always been interested in health services. Starting with working in a local hospital and afterwards continuing her post-secondary education in health services. She attended Sheridan College for nursing, medical secretarial and clerk-typist certifications. She furthered her education at Niagara College, obtaining her Level I Dental Assisting (CDA) certification, and UWO, where she received her Preventative Dental Assisting (Level II) certification. Ellen is HARP and CPR certified through the Dental Assisting Challenge Examination.
As a member of the Ontario Dental Assistants Association (ODAA) since 1988 and National Assisting Examining Board (NDAEB), she is dedicated to furthering her education and experience. As a Level II dental assistant / preventative dental assistant, Ellen enjoys the diverse and interactive experience with her patients of all ages - a natural experience that her patients reciprocate in kind.
Ellen is proud to live in the Oakville/Burlington area where she enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two daughters. In her spare time she enjoys scrap booking and cheerleading.
Nicole, Dental Hygienist Nicole graduated from the Niagara College Dental Hygiene program in 2009 and began working with Dr. Brown shortly after finishing her training. She is registered with the college of Dental Hygienists of Ontario and is a member of the Canadian Dental Hygiensts Association. She also maintains her CPR training yearly. She truly believes that oral health is an integral part of overall health and tries to pass this key principle onto her clients.
Outside of work, Nicole enjoys spending time with famioy and friends as well as her dog, Roxie. She loves to travel and keeps a long list of exciting destinations to hopefully explore in the future.
Farnaz, Dental Hygienist and Administrative Assistant
Farnaz holds a dental degree in Brazil and driven by her passion for helping people became a registered hygienist here in Ontario. Her passion and her technical knowledge allow her to co-ordinate the treatments for patients and arrange for financing.
In her spare time, she enjoys travelling and home decor and design.
April, Patient Care Co-ordinator and Receptionist
April brings with her 15yrs of experience in both administration and dental assisting. Her interests nclude cooking and assisting the elderly in a long term care facility in Burlington. April currently is working towards completing her food handler’s certificate through a program at McMaster University/ Mohawk collage.
Krist, Certified Level II Dental Assistant
Krist is a graduate of the Intra-Oral dental assistant program at Medix school with H.A.R.P. certification. He joined Alton Dental in 2011 and is a CDA Level II assistant for Dr. Brown.
In his free time, Krist enjoys spending time with his family, playing drums, video editing projects and perfecting his recipe for butter chicken.
